Negotiations to reach a newly revised Collective Agreement with Bell recommenced this week with the aid of the federal conciliator. The parties exchanged and discussed monetary proposals for the first time in this round of negotiations, and all outstanding non-monetary items were re-visited as well. Matters remaining ‘on the table’ include access to increased job opportunities within Bell for TEAM members; improvements to overtime and Duty Manager compensation, AIP, vacation entitlements, and benefit coverage; as well as fair and reasonable annual general wage increases.
TEAM’s Negotiating Committee is pleased with the progress that is being made overall, and the parties have agreed to extend the conciliation period and continue discussions for meetings next week.
