TEAM Scholarships
Each year TEAM awards scholarships to members and members’ children as follows:
- Four $500 scholarships to TEAM members to help defray the cost of a work or career related academic or vocational course or seminar, and
- Four $1,000 scholarships to dependent children, including stepchildren, of TEAM members enrolled in first year post-secondary education at university, community college, trade school or an apprenticeship program.

Applications for the 2024 awards are open until Friday, October 11th, 2024.
IFPTE Scholarships
Children and grandchildren of TEAM members who wish to continue their education beyond high school are eligible to apply for the IFPTE’s Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Annual Scholarship award of $2,500 USD. Four such scholarships are awarded annually. The window for applications is typically January to May.

Retirement / Departure Gifts
TEAM members who retire from the Company after one year of membership, or after five years of membership if not commencing retirement (excluding members terminated for just cause, and members who are not in good standing), are eligible to receive a retirement/departure gift from TEAM.
TEAM currently presents a limited edition Cree Imagery print by Canadian artist Ernie Scoles.
The TEAM office does not always receive notification of retirements or departures in a timely manner. If you are leaving or aware of a member who will be leaving, please notify the TEAM office.
Legal Assistance Program
All legal fees pertaining to disputes between a TEAM member and their employer regarding a member’s rights under the Collective Agreement and other applicable workplace legislation and Human Rights are covered by TEAM. However, members may have private matters, such as preparing wills, estate administration, purchasing or selling a home, and for these and other situations, members can utilize the same law firm that TEAM uses, Cochrane Sinclair LLP, at discounted rates. Contact TEAM’s primary legal counsel, Kris Saxberg, for details and to make arrangements relating to the Program.
The discount program is also available to retired TEAM members and their immediate families.

Financial and Retirement Planning
Periodically, TEAM runs seminars for members on topics relating to financial planning and retirement planning. The sessions are presented by Darryl Robinson, a Certified Financial Planner of D. Robinson and Associates, and as a special arrangement, Darryl provides discount off his firm’s regular fees for members of TEAM and their partners or spouses.

Mileage reimbursement rate = $0.56 per kilometre
Note: Please consult Bell’s Discretionary Expense Policy for travel averaging in excess of 250 kms per day.
