• EVRTIP Update: Although TEAM does not yet have the ‘official’ results of the recent EVRTIP package, several members report receiving a response to their application earlier today.  We realize the results will come as a relief for some and a disappointment for others.

For members who will be departing, if you are retiring or have been a member of TEAM for at least 5 years, please click here, to provide the TEAM office with a personal email address or other means of contact for arrangements regarding a TEAM departure gift.

For members who applied and were denied, if you have questions about the results, we encourage you to seek a discussion with your Director about the rationale for the denial, and contact TEAM (Labour Relations Officer, Alyssa Hung) to discuss any concerns.

  • Defined Benefit (DB) Retirement Planning Webinar: Whether you will be departing soon, want to depart soon, or have no plans of departing any time soon, all members who are part of the DB pension plan will need to make decisions about their DB pensions at some point in their career.  For members who decide to remain part of the DB plan, the decisions made at retirement about how to receive your pension payments can significantly impact your financial outlook in retirement.  To help members learn more about the available options, TEAM is offering a 2-hour DB Retirement Planning webinar next week on Tuesday, March 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, presented by Darryl Robinson. If you are interested in attending, please click on the link below to register:

Members who may be departing in the next few days (prior to the webinar) are still welcome to attend; to do so, please include a personal email address with your registration so we can forward you the login details.

To participate in the webinar, you will need an internet connection and a device with a web browser and speakers or headphones. The platform being used for the webinars is Microsoft Teams.

Important Note:  TEAM is sponsoring the financial planning seminars to assist members in gaining a better understanding of the financial choices they face when planning for their retirement.  The information is being shared for education purposes only, and must not be considered as investment advice.  TEAM strongly recommends that members seek independent professional assistant, such as from a fee-for-service Certified Financial Planner, prior to making any significant financial moves, and in particular, where they are contemplating “cashing-out” their defined benefit pension.
