• Revisions to the Constitution and Bylaws – Ballot Counting:  Although we are beginning to see a reduction in the number of new COVID-19 cases being reported in recent days, with the current public health orders and guidelines still in place for employers to allow employees to work remotely where possible, we felt it prudent to conduct this ballot count in a bit different manner from our usual process of asking for volunteers from the membership. We have instead arranged for two retired TEAM members, who volunteered to assist, to attend the TEAM Office this Friday, June 25 to count the ballots.  If however, you are interested in attending on Friday to either observe the process or participate as an additional counter (be advised space is limited and masks are required), please contact us.
  • TEAM Congratulates Newly Elected CLC Leadership: Nearly 4,000 delegates from across the country gathered together virtually last week to attend the Canadian Labour Congress’ 29th Constitutional Convention and chart the course in “Defining the Future” of labour in Canada. Including our delegate from TEAM, the IFPTE was well represented at the convention, with delegates from all four Canadian locals, as well as President, Paul Shearon and Secretary-Treasurer, Matt Biggs, participating. TEAM wishes to congratulate all of the newly elected officers and representatives, and especially Manitoba’s own, Bea Bruske, new CLC President.
