• Bell COVID-19 Vaccination Policy: As many of you know, last Thursday Bell announced its intention, as of February 1, 2022, to place any employees who are not fully vaccinated per the Policy on “unpaid leave, leading to eventual termination”.  If you are directly impacted by this announcement and have not already done so, please contact the TEAM office or Alyssa Hung, TEAM’s Labour Relations Officer to arrange for time to discuss your situation and options.
  • REMINDER – TEAM Financial Planning Webinar: If you have not already done so, there is still time to register for tomorrow’s “Top 10 Financial Planning Mistakes” webinar with Certified Financial Planner, Darryl Robinson.  The webinar is scheduled in the evening from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and will look at common financial planning issues and typical mistakes people make as they plan their financial future.

To participate in the webinar, you will need an internet connection and a device with a web browser and speakers or headphones.  The platform being used for the webinars is Microsoft Teams.

If you would like to attend tomorrow evening,  Wednesday, December 8th from 6pm – 9pm, and have not yet let us know, please click here to register now.  Access details will be provided via email ahead of the event – please let us know if you have a personal email address you would prefer we use instead of your work email.

Important Note:  TEAM is sponsoring the financial planning seminars to assist members in gaining a better understanding of the financial choices they face when planning for their retirement.  The information is being shared for education purposes only, and must not be considered as investment advice.  TEAM strongly recommends that members seek independent professional assistant, such as from a fee-for-service Certified Financial Planner, prior to making any significant financial moves, and in particular, where they are contemplating “cashing-out” their defined benefit pension.

  • Bell PMP Year End Reviews:  As we make our way through the end of year PMP review period, it is important that members understand the performance objectives and leadership competencies on which they are being assessed, how to achieve them, and the reasoning to support any gaps that are identified.  Not only is 30% of your Achievement Incentive Plan (AIP) based on the PMP results, but in some cases a subpar assessment can lead to members being pre-screened on job postings or placed on a Performance Improvement Plan.

If you have concerns about your PMP assessment and how it may impact your AIP results, we encourage you to please contact our Labour Relations Officer, Alyssa Hung, to discuss options to address your concerns. TEAM has assisted a number of members with AIP/PMP related grievances.
