  • IFPTE Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Annual Scholarships: Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Annual Scholarships. The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers awards four scholarships of $2,500 USD each to children or grandchildren of IFPTE members who wish to continue their education beyond high school.  Details of the scholarships, eligibility criteria and the application form can be found here.  Applications must be postmarked or submitted electronically on or before May 15, 2022.
  • Annual and Banked Vacation Amounts: We’ve received some questions and concerns from members regarding vacation entitlements.  Some reported receiving incorrect information from Bell about 2022 vacation entitlements, while others are concerned their banked vacation days are not listed in the internal employee system along with their annual allotments.

For members who are part of the DB Pension Plan and looking to confirm how many banked vacation days they have for pension purposes, the amount is included (in hours) on the bottom of our bi-weekly pay statements, under the heading “Frozen Banked Credits”.  For reference, 375 hours equates to the maximum of 50 banked days, based on a 7.5 hour workday (Note: for Managers of Craft employees who do not have a 7.5 hour workday, 392.5 hours = 50 days).

For members who received communication from Bell referencing information about annual vacation entitlements that are not applicable to them, please refer to Article 22 of our Collective Agreement for the correct vacation entitlements.  There are also a few members who by virtue of the LOU – Transitioning to the Bell Vacation Year should have received an additional week of vacation this year, same as they would have under the former MTS vacation year, for reaching their next vacation milestone– this would apply to members whose NCS date falls between January 1 – April 30 in 1989, 2002, 2009, or 2017.If you are concerned that you have not received the correct allotment of vacation days (banked or 2022 entitlement) we encourage you to contact the TEAM office to make arrangements to discuss your concerns.

  • November EVRTIP Results: We have some final results to share with you from Bell on their last EVRTIP offering that targeted five TEAM positions in the BBM Vice President Group for reduction.  Of the twenty applications received, Bell approved eight, with four coming from incumbents of targeted positions.
