LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
SCOPE AND NATIONAL ROLES
The following will confirm the understanding and agreement between the parties during negotiations regarding TEAM-IFPTE Local 161’s jurisdiction and which positions will be considered National Managers if they are filled in Manitoba.

National Managers are defined in Article 7 and below as:
National Manager – is an employee normally residing in Manitoba with:
i. direct reports that are not member of a union residing in the rest of Canada, or
ii. direct reports that fall within (i), as well as direct reports residing in Manitoba.
The Company confirms that as of the date of ratification of this Collective Agreement, there are no National Managers in Manitoba.
The Company will post roles designated for National Managers in accordance with its standard recruitment procedures. In the event that an active employee applies for and is selected to fill a National Manager role, the Company retains sole discretion to determine whether or not the employee’s previous position will be backfilled.
