TEAM Annual General Meeting – RSVP Request: TEAM’s AGM will be held over the lunch hour on Tuesday, November 15, from 12-1pm. The meeting will be a hybrid in-person/virtual format, with members having the option to attend in person for lunch at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg or remotely via Zoom. The agenda will include updates on matters impacting members, the presentation of our financial report, and a Q&A session.

IFPTE Scholarship Winner: We are pleased to announce that a TEAM member’s child and/or grandchild has once again been awarded an IFPTE Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. scholarship. Breazy Diduck-Wilson, child of TEAM member Nelson Frias, will receive $2,500 USD towards their university education. TEAM Board Elections – Reminder: We are seeking nominations from members for the following positions on the TEAM Union Inc./TEAM-IFPTE Local 161 Board, with terms starting January 1, 2023:
- President
- Vice-President
- Second Vice-President
- Secretary/Treasurer
- Six Board Members
The positions of President and Vice-President are also elected as IFPTE Convention Delegates (next convention will be held in 2024).
The TEAM Board ensures good governance and oversight in advancing the social and economic welfare of its members, negotiating such matters as compensation, conditions of work, and benefits and representing members in discussion with the employer. The duties of the Board are mainly outlined in the Bylaws and to a lesser extent the Constitution.
The nomination form is available online here. The form must bear the signature of the Nominee and at least ten members-at-large (in good standing), and must be returned to the TEAM Election Committee, TEAM Office – B2000, or via email to team@teamunion.mb.ca (to the attention of the TEAM Election Committee) by end of day, November 14, 2022.
Notes:
- Board members will serve for a term of three years.
- Board member training will take place in January.
- The Board is required to meet a minimum of six times per year.
- Board meetings normally take place in-person at the TEAM office, or at the Board’s discretion, virtually via a secure online platform, during normal working hours.
- Board members will be released from their work duties to attend the meetings or can attend on personal time, and TEAM shall reimburse the employer for the cost of their wages or the member for the cost of their vacation time.
- All Board positions are voluntary.
Please note that in the event there are more candidates than positions available, an election will be held and candidates for contested positions will be invited to submit a written campaign statement of not more than 100 words, which will be included in the ballot materials provided to members.
